okay. this is a work in progress, but i want some advice on it.
~cjrogers1993 told me about this deviantart fashion week thing and i want to participate. unfortunately ive had so much work lately, i havent gotten much done. i did this a while ago. my preliminary idea is winter gypsies. im thinking heavy fabrics (lots of knits) in cream, with orange and purple accents in like...not silks but...something delicate. probably transparent. and they would be patterned, whereas the creams would be solids. i was also thinking of lilac ribbing, like on the second and fourth figure. i want a lot of superfluous and obvious stitching. fur. lots of trims and scarves, pockets, patches, sparkly stuff...that sort of thing. i was also pondering some quilting... i dont really like the one on the left, i think it needs something more. maybe once the patterns get in, itll be better (that whole bottom, where you can see the feet, that's going to be either orange or purple translucent fabric, so the dress is actually floor length--sorry it doesnt translate well in the sketch). and the poncho, which i loved the idea of at first, irks me now....but i really wanted a poncho! so maybe i'll just redesign it... so, advice? crits? ideas? p.s.
